Back when I went to community college in the downtown area, I was always surprised and somewhat dismayed at the number of parking places that were vacant on Friday. It was the same thing when I went into class. Skeleton crews, sometimes no more than half the class size manned every room. The roads outside were open and eerily quiet. I half-expected a tumbleweed to roll by certain days. Sometimes I'd even get angry at the lack of interest shown. Didn't these people care they were missing a lecture?! What kind of boss lets all his workers off on Friday? Could Thursday be next :worried2: ~:0 :uhoh: ??!?!

It is now Friday. Is it YOUR space I'm gonna be parking in?

I do not work Friday's - I made sure I negotiated that night off work before I started. ~D

During our heavy season, Fridays are our killer days. Early start - late finish. But very good money. :greedy:

Then it's beer and women 'till the early hours. :gorgeous: ~ :gorgeous:

I work one Friday out of two, all the time. In fact I work one entire week and keep the next week off. ~D

Seven nightshifts take a toll, it's true. ~

But seven days off makes everything right again. ~

I work every Friday full-time - my aim is to actually leave office on time on Fridays (i.e. 5:30 pm).

My wife however only works Monday - Thursday and gets some of the "household stuff" done on Fridays e.g., laundry, shopping (eh ... hey ... waaait a minute :inquisitive: ), so that we don't have to bother too much with such things during the weekend.

Pretty much like Ser Clegane... Friday is the day where I try not to leave after 7pm.

I like to to go to Paris for the week end; leaving early (ie 6pm) on Friday helps a great deal getting there in time for the party ~

Well, I go to work on Fridays, but as for actually working.................... ~;)

I always leave at 1530 on a Friday.

Hmm, I usually find that the people that talk about women the most are the ones that don't get any ~ ~D Incidentally, neither do I, I'm married ~:handball: :help:

If I did work, then I would work on Fridays, I'd also be thinking about work over the weekend. But then, that's the way out here. Everyone works hard - it's the expat way. Play hard too, of course.

Typical lifestyle out here, amongst my older friends (late twenties, early thirties) is work from seven/eight to six/seven. Drink til one or two, repeat. And if work needs to be done on the weekend, it gets done. I just join in on the drinking. On occasion, it does of course get a lot later... no such thing as closing time out here.

GAH! :furious3: I have no life! :furious3: GAH! The only two weekdays I go out regularly are Tuesday (on which I teach English and study Kurdish) and Friday, our rehearsal evenings. Gotta go out in an hour...

My work schedule rotates, usually 4 days on then 2 days off. However, when the rotation comes up on saturday & sunday off, you only get one day (monday) off the week before the sat. & sun. off, then next sat. & sun. off (makes 2 weekends in a row off), then one day off the following week (friday), then next thu. & fri. off, then next wed. & thu. off, then next tue. & wed. off, then next mon. & tue off, then mon. off, then your 2 weekends off, then next fri. off, then next thu. & fri. off..... Confused? So is my wife even after 23 years of me working this schedule. Then of course we can swap work days with fellow employees, so I can opt to work two 16 hour shifts (my day shift and my swapping partners afternoon shift) and he does the reverse for me, combined with one's regular 2 days off, gives you two 16 hour days worked for 4 days off. Of course, since we are a jail and can't shut down, we work all the holidays too. Then there is the dreaded mandatory overtime when too many officers scheduled for the next shift call in sick, those that are working the current shift must stay and work another shift. This is assigned by inverse seniority (lowest in seniority get stuck first) to cover the jobs that are open. Imagine the "joy" of discovering that you are "invited" to stay another shift on Christmas day because some s.o.b. decided to call in sick to spend the holiday with his family (and screw you). Happened to me once. It doesn't happen very often because we police this amongst ourselves. The offending officer will regret it, everything from 4 flat car tires to a locker room beat down. You call in sick on a major holiday, you better be calling from the hospital.

gah, i don't have a work schedule per se... i work most days. weekends don't really have any meaning, if work needs to be done, and i feel like i can do it, i work. so there really is no difference to me between weekdays and weekends...
otoh, sometimes i can only take so much, and i take one or two days off when i don't do anything - and it usually happens on weekends, but not necessarily...

Back in my old job, I worked Friday-Saturday-Sunday from 8 am to 8pm. The way I saw it, our shift violated every major monotheistic holy day. Muslims for Friday, Jews for Saturday, Christians for Sunday. No matter your faith, we were evil.

Yes, always. I try to leave by 6pm, sometimes this happens, most of the time it doesn't. Lately, I've had to work some weekends as well, but this won't last for much longer.

I always make a point of not taking classes on Friday. I don't actually have a job though, If I did, I think I would still try to have Friday off. The 'work hard, play hard' theme gets me exhausted if I do it too often, so I take Friday off.

I don't work at a job, but I'll use school instead...

I almost never work in school (I still manage to get all B's but a few in all honors courses), but Friday I'm even worse. I'll rarely work at all in school then.

:sweatdrop:

Stealing from Blair is 24 hour job. Well, 20mins every 2 weeks.

I'll get a job after my course ends.
