Hi. I was just remembering one of the closest campaigns i've ever had, and was wondering if you had any similar stories. My story was at the beginning of my Greek campaign, and the only cities i had left were Syracuse (which was down to its last few men), Sparta (a garrison of 1000+, made up of the survivors from all the armies that got attacked) and pergamum, which was safe...for now.

I was approximately DN10,000 in the red, and the Macedons and Brutii were coming. In a last ditch attempt, i thought, what the heck, let's attack. I sent all my men in Sparta to attack Corinth, and by some miracle i captured it. On Syracuse, my small 100 man army also managed to win, beating the 500 man Scipii garrison that was there. But then, 2 full stacks of Macedonians and Brutii came out of nowhere and attacked Corinth. It looked like the end was nigh, so i sallied forth and auto-battled. Surprise surprise, my small army obliterated the 2000 enemy Macedonians and Brutii who were outside!! A heroic victory marker remains there till this day.

But with the Brutii and Macedonians crippled, it was time to strike back. I moved onto Athens, and the money started pouring in. Once i had got the Macedons trapped in Bylazora, were they remained for 150 years and the Brutii off the mainland, i turned my eyes to Pergamum, and started a war with the Pontic Empire. The rest was history!!

I saw your story of skull bridge. Your siggy also proclaims that you are the first general of the immortal 10.000. You are aware what is wrong with that?
