How to Edit the Shape of the banners?

I tried changing the shape of the bannes in Data\models\textures, but they still retain the standard shape, how can I edit this?

If you look in data/models there are the standard models. If you look in data/descr_banners.txt you'll see which model your faction uses. Most seem to share the julii standard. hope this helps
