The answer is probably "fekk all, and it says so in the blurry FAQ anyway", butt:

Is there another game out there?
What I'm looking for is a game like Rome: Total War, only better :dizzy2:

I don't want any real-time resource gathering! No way!
A fully turn based game is acceptable, though the TW way is ideal.
I'm not choosy regarding setting/concept.
Is there something fairly new that is a bit less half-donkeyed insofar as AI and QA/bugs/support is concerned?

Medieval Total War? ~;)

But no, seriously, there is nothing else like Total War yet IMO. I'd like to be proved wrong.

Try Europa Barbarorum when it comes out (it's that historic mod). They say they are really improving the game.

Other than that........

*thinks hard*

Nope. Sorry.

Ah, yes. That thing...
There's supposed to be a new version of the XL mod soon
~:)
I'm still playing MTW and RTW, and I'm loving it, loving it, loving it, hating it, loving it, hating it etc. :charge:
