View Full Version : AI stratmap Movement speed!?

Hi everyone. I'd like to know if there is a way or a mod to decrease the AI movement speed on the strategic map. I find it too fast to keep track on whats going on. I would like it slower. I took a look in the data folder but cannot find anything, but I am no expert. Maybe its hard coded.....?

If somebody knows or discovered how to do that, please help

I'm guessing that for that you would have to reduce the speed of the walking animation. I don't know which skeleton the campmap models use though. Anybody know?

I may be misunderstanding the question, but you can toggle the speed of character movement by pressing space. Is that what you're looking for?

Also, make sure you have selected "Follow AI Movement" in the Game Options.

No, I mean the movement of the AI at the beginning of a turn.
I would like it slower.

I look at the "descr_models_strat" but find no clue about speed. I think it has to be AI related or something cause, your own troops have normal speed.

Does somebody know?

Are the pieces moving very quickly, if so, then therother is right, press space whilst the AI is moving.

NO! its not about my pieces but, the computercontroled ones!!
Pressing spacebar while the AI's (other Nations) are moving has no effect with me.
Does it have with you?

Could you tell us how fast the AI's characters are moving?

In my game, with the toggle to slow movement, and "Follow AI Movement" option selected, the characters move about at a rate just shy of 1 tile per second, which is quite slow and it's easy to follow what's going on. When you toggle with the space bar, the speed increases markedly, maybe 4-5 times or so, but it's still possible to see what's happening.

How do you toggle to slow movement, with me the other nations move allot faster than mine, wich I can not control. Pressing spacebar only influences my own units.

Perhaps this should go to the Apothecary forum?
