Overhand hoplites?

Do you guy know how this is possible. I really want to make some greek units like this. I saw a mod for it somehwere on twcenter but it would unzip right. The screenshot(which I can't find anymore) clearly shows the spartans holding the spears overhand.

Can anyone direct me to a guide?Or maybe write a guide for this?

youd have to go into 3dsmax and create the skeleton and its animations frame by frame. very time consuming.
