One of the bigest issue with RTW is that AI cheats.i dont realy know how the brutii with only 2 cities keeps 2 full armys, and after i bribe them they keep having so much money and replace those armys. But this really applies to all factions.
What do YOU think? :book:

they don't cheat.
they simply have money on the other side of the rainbow.

if you want more gold when your on camp. mode, do the following.
push ~
then type in the following: add_money 20000
it does what it says.
make sure you put it in just like i have it.

The way CA chose to make difficulty harder was to give the AI the ability to spend money it doesn't have and build whole armies in 1 turn at 1 settlement. This is a pretty well known "feature". If you dislike playing under those conditions, set campaign difficulty to Medium, and the AI will be forced to spend only what it has, and can only build 1 unit per settlement per turn, just like the human player.

So is it realistic (without cheating AI I mean) to play on medium level of campaign map and hard battle difficulty?

i think those are the most realistic settings for this game.
:duel:
No, AI cheats in combat at hard (in the form of combat bonuses, bonuses to attack, etc). The only "fair" setting is Medium/medium, as far as I know.

But does the medium/medium setting make the game challenging or is it just a cakewalk (I've always played on hard/hard, but damn I hate cheating AI)? I want some intrigue ~D
Of course the AI cheats at hard levels. How on earth would the AI compete with a human if it didn't?! This game isn't chess you know.
If you want an even keel, simply play on medium/medium....
