my cat (tiger lily) has a tapeworm infection. :worried:
i've just started seeing the proglottids (segments).
this is going to suck, she's 15, so i'm not going to give her the rather toxic prescription treatments right away. i've been looking at some websites, and apparently i'm going to have to figure out away to get my cat to eat wheat bran, castor oil, garlic, wormwood powder, etc.. i mean, she won't even eat tuna unless the mood is just right for ****'s sake.. and if i have to force this stuff down her throat, i'm going to need some riot gear. :helmet:
but with one of you as my witness, i'll kill this damn tapeworm or my name ain't john.
just i thought you guys would like to know, as i know you all are fascinated by the daily course of my life.

The 3 Stooges walk into a diner and order breakfast...
:stooge_larry: Larry: I'll have burnt toast and a rotten egg.
:stooge_moe: Moe: Burnt toast and a rotten egg?
:stooge_larry: Larry: Yeah. I have a tape worm and that is good enough for it!
Never follow the advice of the Stooges. Good luck with the tape worm John.

I always thought tape worms were good for you. I thought they helped you lose weight? ~

Good luck John. I hope Ms. Lilly comes through with flying colors. Be careful with the wormwood, it's mildly toxic as well. You might want to talk to the vet about about some milder forms of cures (other than the normal toxins they give your cat). Not all vets toe the party line.

Just wrap everything in roasted beef, and wear gloves when doing so. My dear lady Tijgertje (yes that means tiger as well ~D ) is 18 now and she is still as playfull as a kitten, and just as fast.
