When I finally decided to set up the 1.2 patch for Rome Total War so that I could update my 4.0 Rome Total Realism version up to the last one the 5.4, I realized that as soon I update my game with the 1.2 patch I come across a graphic bug when I play a battle:; particulary legionaries but units in general miss some graphic details. For instance all of the units have no feet! (they haven't the graphic detail for the feet). In addition Legionaries' shields are some kind like bended in hulf and many other graphic distorsions.

I really don't know why and how this happens but if some of you had the same problem or know a solution to that please reply here!

(The bug comes up only after you install the official 1.2 patch of Rome Total War) ~ :help:

I take it you are still playing RTR?

I don't know but installing the patch on top of an extensive mod such as RTR could create a number of problems. Since the newest version is rather different from the others I think the best course of action is to uninstall RTW totally, then get fresh start.

Go into custom battle, hit escape and go into the video options. Make sure unit shaders is checked, and unit detail is at least on medium. That should get rid of the pointy feet unless you're video card is quite old.

I think what you have to do to make sure you have a good install is uninstall RTW, install RTW v1.0, apply the RTW v1.2 patch and then install whatever mod you want such as RTR 5.4. What I do is keep an RTW v1.2 install without any modifications, and copy that folder tree to a new folder everytime I want to try a mod. That way I don't have to reinstall the game if I want to change mods. It does take considerable disk space to keep multiple copies of RTW on the hard drive.
