Who here has played any Star Trek Games?

Who here as played any Star Trek Games mainly StarFleet Command games.I have all of them from StarFleet Command 1 all the way to 3.They are prtty good games and you can get them on Amazon and Ebay.The player are a fine community like this one.

Nexus - The Jupiter Incident is marvelous.

I would recommend Star Trek Armada, especially the first of the two parts. Also good is Star Trek: DS9 – Dominion Wars. I was as a strategist most fond of the title Birth of Federation, very Master of Orion-like feeling of a game set in Star Trek universe

I have SFC, SFC2 Empires at War, and the SFC2 Orion Pirates expansion. I enjoy the battles immensely, but I have been really disapointed by the campaigns. I've always wanted to battle against another human in SFC2, but by the time I got into it everyone had moved on to SFC3 (which I cannot run effectively on my PC).

Someone recently posted here that in SFC3 they really dumbed down the detail in the ships, weapons and controls. I haven't seen it myself, but personally I liked the complexity of the ships and controls in SFC2. It made it a challenge to master the various ship and weapon types. This is why I like TW games as well--it takes a while to determine what units in what combinations make effective armies, etc., and how to control your army and groups within it well.

Birth of the fed was good, (in its day) as was Dominion wars (which lacked the strategy part)

A new combination of both these games would be awsome!

I played Klingon Academy, Klingon Honor Guard (or something) Starfleet II and III and Elite Force II. I tried Away Team too, i like star trek games alot but unfortunately the future looks pretty bleak unless Viacom finds someone else besides Activision.

I have a number, none except one have really interested me. I have found them all quite boring. Just taking advantage of the name to sell a bad game.

However, the one I really like is ,Birth of the Federation, which is quite an old game now, but one of my all time favourites.

Does anybody know if there is a plan to release the 'Customizable card game' on PC as I think it would be a good addition to the set.

I have Elite Force, Armada, and Birth of the Federation.

My favourite was BotF (which unfortunately did not get the credit it derserved, IMO).

Give me BotF with an improved tactical battle and the Dominion added as faction and I would buy it immediately, even if the graphics stayed the same...

EDIT: Oh - I almost forgot to mention STTNG: A Final Unity. I actually quite liked that one as well 10 years ago ~:)

Start Trek Acadamy for SNES and PC, Klingon Acadamy PC, 25th Anniversary, Birth of the Federation and that Ressurection thing.

Hmmm... The Dominion as a Faction wasn't that Correct from Point of Sight of the TV-Series, it should be instead that there is an Event of something where Cardassia and/or some other Factions might join the Dominion creating that Faction (because the are not orignally from the Alpha Sector).

The most Things I wished from an BotF2 were:

- More Abilities for the Minorfactions (Forming Colonies and allie with each other)
- More playable Factions. The Gorn, the Breen and Vulcans.
- Only Federation should be able to offer Membership to Minors
- Birth of the Federation special-Function*
- Invasion from the Dominion special-Function**
- Borg Invasion special-Function***

* At first there should be the Humans and Vulcans as seperate Factions, which can unify to become the Federation through Diplomacy. ("Form Federation" as one special Diplomatic Act)

** There should be a special cap, that if Cardassia owns Bajor it will fusion with the Breen and turn into the Dominion-Faction.

*** Another special Cap where the Borg can appear as a Faction to replace that odd random appearances of Cubes. Instead of single Cubes, they should assemble/replace a Minor Faction and then be at War against All.

STNG: Bridge Commander is quite good. Fairly recent title so the graphics hold up. Makes a nice change from the space sims where you tend to fly a little fighter craft, with the ships in Star Trek you can forget any fancy evasive manouvres, its more like sailing a galleon.
