I've heard sum ppl wanted the civil war to start but couldnt because not enuf popular power.... well its actually kinda ez. Get a lvl 1 assassin and have him attempt to kill spqr generals at unlikely odds. If he is killed in the process you will be outlawed, was this thread a complete waste of time or did not many others kno this?

LegolasII,

The spies had been mentioned before, but personally I didn't know that requirement of high people's rating to help trigger the civil war.

So, thx for the info and keep them coming. ~:)

it's very easy, conquer the whole world (or atleast 25 provinces) and don't do senate missions (only in the begginning part you may do it)

You know that you can also cancel alliance and military access with SPQR to trigger a civil war, right?

Do you actually need to have a high popularity with the people to succesfully trigger a civil war? I don't see the point of being popular with the plebeians...

no, sending an unexperienced assasin into rome will trigger a civil war.. usually!

what i dont get is when ive been egypt and otehr factions they get traits that give u popularity increase with the people...... does that do nething wen u r not roman factions?

i think it does.. it probably increases public order and loyalty! (i've never been bribed as egypt)

Roman campaigns can be actually quite challenging if you start a civil war right off the bat and try to take Rome as you have to fight that killer Senate army by canceling alliance and military access.
