Is there a way to skip the opening splash for activision and the movie other than pressing escape twice. In mtw there was a switch that you could put in the properties to make ti skip the opening. Is there an equivalant trick for RTW?

just go to Rome - Total War\Data\fmv directory and delete or just move the two movies there. that's it.

Oh, the horror, you have to push a button twice!! It's so strenuous and time consuming!!!

You can also add the -nm switch to the end of the shorcut in targets field.

It will be something like this

"C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\RomeTW.exe" -nm

Too easy, thanks katank!

Or your computer can just have big troubles loading the opening movies, resulting in a terribly flickering movie which is a totally useless waste of time (is case w/ my PC). So I also added the -nm to the RTW shortcut on my desktop. Makes launching RTW a lot less annoying.

Hey, if it's too strenuous for Homer Simpson then it's too strenuous for me! :smug:
