know what you mean...the album also found it´s way to me in the last month ....eheheh
but it´s still worth buying if you find the deluxe edition....the making off dvd on itself is well worth the price.....it has a making off video for each song, a videoclip for "someone´s in the wolf" that is as weird as the song itself :P and a faux interview were josh explains part of the creative process..
as for the album itself....a great album no doubt...what i love about this band is that no 2 albums are alike...they all rock in diferent ways....and at least i can´t pick a favourite...it varies from mood to mood...
the lack of oliveri means the album doesn´t have the scream fests like 6 shooter but it makes up for it with songs like "i never came" and "you´ve got a killer scene"...not to mention "someone´s in the wolf"....a song that i´ve best seen described as "a fairy tale gone wrong! " ~D
can´t wait to see these guys live.

Hahah, and i thought i was the only one who loved the scream fests ~:joker:
But yeah, i agree with the 'no two albums are alike' statement. But i did kind of miss the grandness of songs for the deaf. I was probably hoping for a song on this album to surpass my two favourite qotsa songs (song for the deaf and mosquito song). Lullaby had a kind of haunting quality which i liked, but i didn't find one to surpass the other two.
Then again, those are two hard tracks to better...

Well today I just got Bob Dylan Live 1966, The Bootleg Series vol 4.
It was called The Royal Albery Hall Concert, though it was recorded in Manchest England.
It's awesome. First CD is his acoustic set, then goes electric.
I love some guy yelling "Judas!", then Bob argues with him for a bit. ~D
As for book and DVD, not sure. ~;)
i loved it, ive been going on about it for weeks now, but im reading one hundred years of solitude by gabriel garcia marquez now.
you didn't like it because you didn't understand it, like people who say conrad was a racist, he wasn't a racist its just because they didn't understand why he wrote the heart of darkness
DVD.... I really dont remember.... I think it was David Galen elämä (The Life Of David Gale)
CD Kotiteollisuus, Helvetistä itään and CMX CLOACA MAXIMA II.

DVD - I forget but I'm getting Zulu soon, love that movie.
Hah, believe me Capo, when I say that film's even better if you're British!
CD: AC/DC - Back in Black - Brilliant album. I really love AC/DC, and Hells Bells, Back in Black, You Shook Me All Night Long and Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution in particular are some of my favourite balls-to-the-wall rockers ever.
DVD: Ack, not sure; last one I watched, though, was Queen Live at Wembley.
Book: Emperor: Field of Swords by Conn Iggulden - About Caeser's rise to Consulship and the Gallic campaigns. Not really in a position to comment on historical accuracy, but it's a fun read, anyway.

Like I say Craterus, I'm in no position to comment on the historical accuracy, so it may be all wrong and contrived and would cause a scholar of the ancient world to rip their hair out in frustration (was Marcus Brutus really the son of a whore, for example?), but I'm just along for the ride, so to speak, and therefore I'm really enjoying it.

CD:Not sure, Snow Patrol or Kasabian.
DVD: Van Helsing
Book: Forgotten realms, The Rogues series. I buy my books by the box load from Amazon, it's cheaper and a 300-400 page book doesn't really last you long enough to make the trip to the bookshop worthwhile.
Book:
I preordered knife of dreams today, that must be the answer... Robert Jordan.
I take it this is the Wheel of Time series? When is it released?

Just bought 4 cds, and i'mecstatic with all of them
Diamind Dogs - David Bowie. Dare i say this rivals *gasp* the rise and fall of ziggy stardust?! Well, not quite. But it's damn close. "Rebel rebel, you've torn your dress..."
Starsailor - Love is here. Just a fantastic, strong album. Best blind buy i've had in a long time.
Radiohead - The bends. Well, i've had this album for awhile... less than legally... But having bought it today, i now own every radiohead album legally, and have everything they've ever recorded in some way, shape or form on my pc. ~
Bruce Springsteen - Darkness on the edge of town.
Goddamn, this album is good. That's all i can say about it. It's just a damn good album!
DVD - Preaching to the Perverted
Book - Remeber with Fear (box set of 7 James Herbert Novels)
CD - Complete Symphony Cycle - Mozart
