Screen resolution problems

Gents
I am having dramas playing STW. I have been busy playing MTW and decided to go back and play STW only to notice that it wouldn't run unless I dropped the pixel ratio back to 800 x 600 on the machine before starting and aslo ingame once started. My machine likes to run on 1920 x 1200. Can anyone please help? I would like to run it at the maximum.

Hi Troy, and welcome. Have you read through the other threads in here? It seems I remember reading some advice about screen resolution problems recently. I haven't experienced any problems like this so I can't help you, but if you're patient someone likely will. There are quite a few knowledgeable, helpful folks here.

Are you using the "Default Video Card" or the like? It's USUALLY a better choice than choosing your specific card.

I've got a 19" I sometimes use running at the same size you want, and it purrs like a kitten... but the 17" I had before was very picky about what size it took. Same vidcard.
