Another pointless thread:

Which were your best/most memorable excuses to avoid doing stuff you needed to do/submit at your workplace? Late/uncomplete submissions included...

Late homework - "My brother ate it."
"I thought it was optional."

My m8s came over and we got stoned and I just spaced and left it on the kitchen counter ...

... oh and by the way, how do you like these nice pix of you and that cheerleader you favor so much? Don't worry, I won't show them to your wife--just consider my sensitivity to this issue when you're grading my paper. I'll turn it in sometime next week.

Leverage works much better than excuses, and everyone has dirty little secrets ... .

Funny thing is, this apparently happened at my school. ~:joker: ~:joker:

I've got a feeling that one wouldn't work. But then again this thread is about memorable or funny excuses regardless of wether or not they were successful. ~D ~

On not turning in my homework -
"Kojak said I had to help him fight criminals. No time for homework"

Nothing amuses me quite so much as the bemused look I used to get from my teachers when I told them I hadn't done my work because I'd forgotten. "You want the truth? You can't handle the truth!" and all that...

He, yeah. When in high school, I happened to have the same English teacher for 4 years, and from the second year onwards he would always ask me: "Are you going to submit ANY homework this year?" I would then say "No" and he would not ask me again that year. ~D

Also, I noticed that with the beginning of this new term, people started remembering their excuses. Now why would that be... I wonder ~D

Actually now that I think about it, I never used excuses all the way to university. I was brutally honest and just declared "I didnt do the homework." And teachers would always let me get away with that as there was really nothing they could do, and I would always end up puling off the subject.

Some of my best (that i actually remember)

Monk: "Oh wait...that was due today?"
Teacher:'Yes'
Monk: "you said it was due friday..."
Teacher: 'i wrote it on the board, due tuesday'
Monk: "i must not have been paying attention"
Teacher: 'Maybe you should from now on.'
Monk: "nah, it's served me well in the past. Why shake things up now?"
Teacher: 'You still need to turn in the assignment.'
Monk: "what assignment?"
Teacher:'...*walks away*'
----

I probably did it, i just don't know where it is. I'd try to find it...but i am already sitting down. I mean, i'd have to go all the way to my locker and dig it out...eh, *leans back in chair* oh well.

----

hey, if i did my homework then you'd have a paper from everyone. This would have been a perfect homework assignment. But since i don't believe anybody is perfect i chose not to turn it in; just so by way of me being a slacker the entire balance and order of this class would be held together.
