Talk with other members of the community about anything.

The definition/synopsis of the backroom. Shouldn't this be changed because the backroom is primarily used for threads regarding political issues and world affairs? Maybe it's time for it to be changed? Just a suggestion.. ~D

There is no need as you can actually talk about anything there, the fact politics gets talked about most is beside the point.

You can talk about anything in the Backroom, not only politics. But you can only discuss politics in Backroom.

Maybe there should be a disclaimer for the backroom, 'discussion may become heated'. For new members the difference between the two rooms is a bit vague, the frontroom is 'talk about anything' and the backroom is 'off topic'.

Sorry :embarassed:, having only been here 2 weeks I haven't seen any threads in the backroom that did not discuss politics... And I have frequently heard the backroom described as a room of politics (see Frontroom and Backroom thread) and the point of a synopsis is to generally describe the place.. POLITICS, it's filled with politics..

That is pretty much the backroom...it is for any kind of debate...politics is the main debate though

Just a quick FYI: there's a slightly more detailed synopsis of all Guild forums here (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=45417).

BTW, it's strange that internet discussions on Vietnam started by Americans tend to fixate on their wounded pride over a war that ended before many were born rather than reflect on the current state of that country. I know little about the area, but it seems to be following China along a path of reform and economic development. Let's move along, people.

You better look again. For instance what does 12 days and a wake up have to do with politics or how about the one called Ser Clegane or even Apocalypse now? The majority of threads there are political because thats the only place your allowed or supposed to talk politics. Clear now? ~:) What I find amusing is the innocent threads that get hijacked into political threads.
