wont connect to eaplay with shogun tw

hi

i just bought te play shogun total war, and want to play with a friend of mine in the multiplayer modus. but i cant get in. everytime i try to, the game is beeing closed (shogun.icd has a problem and has to be shut down) or just not able to connect...
oh, and i am registered by eaplay or easports...

please help.

The EA server was shut down last year. But you can download some server program called fakeserver that enables one of you to host a server. It requires the other player to change some internet config file with the proper IP so he can connect to you.
