I know this is a old game.
I was wondering if there were any cool add-ons for the game, or any tips and such for it. I think its a really cool game, with a nice backstory, and any help would be appreciated.
I haven't heard of any add-ons, but I did read that there was a patch released that made it much better.
Might pick it up today if I see it at the computer store. They had an old copy in a huge box for $15.

There was one patch which mainly corrected a problem with save games, but that was about it.
I agree that the game is a hoot --particularly the over the top campy voice acting--sort of like an Indiana Jones flying game. I still drag my copy out occasionally and play through the campaign again.
I wouldn't spend $15 on a used copy because they have re-released it in a crystal case version for only $9.99.
I have seen it at both CompUSA and Wal-Mart, just recently. The re-issue probably only has one of those little crystal case manuals or one on PDF, but the controls are so easy to pick up, one hardly needs a manual (Easy to play, but hard to master) You do need a joystick to play the game well.
To the best of my knowledge there were never any add-ons or mods. The closed code of the game prevented it.
There is a sequel called Crimson Skies 2, but Microsoft only released it for the X-Box.
There is also an on-line component, and you might still find opponents at the MSgaming site.

Crimson skies is a great game!! Odd but good storyline, ridiculous planes and characters and a ridiculous manual. I got the original game with one of the original manuals. If you can get a hold of an original manual then i recommend getitng it. It makes good reading material.
