Here's mine:
A local chamber orchestra (the name shall remain unspoken because it's their patron's, which is a bank). It was basically Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3 with Stephen Kovacevich and other stuff.
My, that guy was great in one word and you won't see me praising many performers thusly.

The Canterville Ghost..
dave brubek quartet. [jazz] these guys are in their 60s-80s. when they talk and walk, they sound like they are geezers but when they start playing, they sound like 20 yr olds.
I saw the Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty's Theatre, with my mother and sisters for my mothers Bday, was great.

Last concert I went to was the Guess Who. Gah a Canadian band and a damn fine one at that ~:) Funny how popular American woman still is considering the message here. Maybe some people just dont catch the message. ~;)

Last night, Friday, I saw a band Timpuri Noi, that single handledly redefined rock in Romania, my home country. they split a few years back and two of the original members reunited. It was awesome. If you can get hands on their songs...

Heard about them  but never heard them. IIRC they had been here a few years or longer ago.

Besides local bands in various parks, yards, and rotary clubs was The Peacemakers at House of Blues....mmmm. Always a good show from them, shame they don't hike north enough.
It has been far too long.

Have a casette copy of a concert of the Sr.'s. I do like him but prefer Muddy Waters.
Not essentially related but Freddy Cole anyone? I was lucky to see/hear him live in this life. ~:)

Last concert was a string quartet in Prague, can't remember what they played, and the Eagles before that.
I don't do theatre or ballet.

I went last night to see Gov't Mule at the Starland Ballroom, a really small bar place that was packed to the gills and in the words of Ronnie Van Zant "as hot as a fox in a forest fire."
The lead singer/guitarist of Gov't Mule is Warren Haynes, who also play in Allman Brothers and Grateful Dead. It was a really sweet show, even though it was very uncomfortable from the heat and the amount of people there.

Last concert, save the one I played, which was actually the same day, a piano recital in which the compositions of a friend and his friends were played by a friend of theirs and his pupil.

I'm going to see a musical version of The Who's Tommy tomorrow. It's supposed to be excellent.
Hayreddin Barbarossa,
what instrument do you play, and do you also compose?
The last live show I saw was Mike Doughty (http://www.mikedoughty.com/main.html) playing a little club here in Brooklyn. Strangely enough, I'll be seeing him again on May 5th at the Bowery Ballroom. Business, this time, although I expect there will still be some pleasure involved.

I've played ud and ney at best in intermediate level and some microtonal recorder even worse than that. But during the last couple of years I've fallen in love with kudüm (pair of copper drums covered with camel skin) which also liberates my voice to sing along. It was what I played in the concert too.

Performing wasn't in my mind originally. I started with composition in mind and it's still the foremost activity (or deactivity :dizzy2:) of my musical being.
-
if you have the time, and the technical know how, it would be cool if you could link to here a sample of some of the stuff you've composed. but only of course if you feel like it.

Another friend (from Australia) asked that too and I've started composing again (after three years) this morning to be able to show you all some meat. ~:joker:
