Holy Muslim Jihad

Last nights, while playing MTW, i managed to effectively use the most powerful weapon of the muslims; the jihad. I always thought jihads were crappy since you had to use it for reconquering purposes, but then, i found out you could just send a kamikaze garrison to conquer a foreign province and then disband. Now, with the creation of 8 grand mosques (built simultaneously) and a army of 70ish ullahs, I managed to create a multiple turkish jihad army of more than 90,000 soldiers! And more satisfying is that once they conquer aragon, all of western europe and the almohads are done for. Frankly, in my opinion, a jihad kicks a crusade any day.

That means if you have the money and you can time the building of the Great Mosques so that they all start in the same year you can actually build more...? Wow that is a great discovery! (even though some will say it is cheating) :wink:

Well even if it isn't cheating it is boring. It might be fun to do once but I avoid spamming Jihads.

I did not actually mean it because of the Jihads. With the Turks it is nice to have at least 3 Great Mosques: in Bulgaria, Georgia and Constantinople because of the troops bonus... :)

Jihads are way better than crusades. They cost less, you can spam them out, and you get good troops. If you have too many its a bit of an exploit in my book, but its fun to do once.

Crusades do have the fun of sending them wandering through other lands wondering if they will ever get where they are going. But they hoover up rubbbish, lose any good troops they may start with, and in the end you have to send a real army to help them conquer the target province anyway.

I say use as many Jyhads at once as you can. Let all the people of Allah teach the infidels the true meaning of the sword.

Crusaders are all just a bunch of drunk young adults, sent to Jeruselem by there parents and community so that they quit harrasing peasants and knocking up barmaids.

That bug was killed in one of the patches (1.1 or 2.0). And I had 12 grand mosques ~D
