Lesson to be learnt

No disrespect to the Wolves, but one good thing to come out of all this is that we've all had a good warning of what sort of thing can happen with our passwords: next time it could be a bank account or something similar!

Could some of you guys that know your stuff please give us a few security tips that the rest of us may have over-looked or not be aware of. For example can passwords be obtained from our computers or as we type or anything and are there any steps that we can take to avoid it.

I currently have different p/ws for various accounts and as a result of this debacle have changed most of them! I also run auto-protect on Norton Anti-Virus 2001, is this adequate for general internet protection or is it advisable to dl the Windows Service Packs?

Dunno what an antivirus would do except detecting viruses (?) but a firewall is a good thing (try ZoneAlarm, it's free, I dont use it coz it bugs me when playing but you can disable it.)

I think magyar uses a good one which he often mentions.

As for p/w use different ones but keep a record of them to remember them.
