where can I find merc. hoplites

So wich regions do I have to go to to find merc. hoplites

Greece region and also they can be recruted in North africa. There the main places i think. Oh ye and Italy and Siciliy.

@mfberg, I do not believe any mercs start with 3 xp. Only Balaeric slingers get +2 from Palma.

I've found some in Maeotis and Campus Alanni.

I control north africa and none have ever turned up

They're all over the map in this very thin corridor going straight through the campaign map, from Campus Alanni in the far north, to North Africa in the south.

They show up all over N. Africa, I've recruited some just outside Carthage.

Do they all have same stats? I've got some from appolonia with good stamina which regular hoplites lack.

no mfberg is right, if you get merc. hoplites in the Sparta region you get the mwith 3 exp.
And Near Corinth you get them with 1 exp chevron
