Could anyone please provide some information on the Siege of Malta(1565ish)? Google and wikipedia are of no help. Thank you.

I have this book at home. It seems good, but I have only read the first chapter so far.
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1840222069/ref=pd_bxgy_text_1/104-4420796-8273533?v=glance&s=books&st=*
It has a narrative approach and seems readable. I think it has a Christian rather than Moslem bias. The same author has written about the WWII seige, so maybe the bias is pro-malta.

I had posted the siege plan somewhere else that I'm no longer a participant. Let me take a peek if they deleted or kept it.

Well, they kept the thread but the maps, which were on another website, are gone.

Hey sure Colovion,
So just a very few brief points:
1565: Turks(about 40,000) send fleet to Malta
Knights(approx.600-700) join with some mercinaries and Maltese (a few 100s aswell)

Turks attack fortifications of St.Elmo
After long struggle the Kinghts fall back to the other side of the port in
Fort St.Michaels and St.Anglu
By La Vallette's (Grand Master) tactics they hold off the Turks
Finally the King of Spain sends reinforcements and forces the Turks to
go back to Turkey in a final rout.
Those are basically the main points of the events. Hope it was of useful information. If anyone needs additional information pls don't hesitate to ask! :D
Thanks,

Thanks people. I was hoping of a link describing the events in detail, but I guess the book will have to do.
