How do you take opt for personal control of reinforcements instead of giving it to the AI? I was fighting a battle with 2 warlords and an extra 9 stacks of Scythian HA and NA, with 2 warlords as reinforcements, but no matter what I did, I couldn'tfind a way to remove the AI control of the army. Is there some option I must change?

Pez,

You may only control twenty (20) units at a time. If you take the unlimited_men on the battlefied option in the preference.txt of your RTW folder, then all the reinforcement will arrive immediately ( any unit over 20 will be under AI control).

If you don't tick the AI control box then the unit will arrive but they won't cross the red-line so long as you still possess the maximum unit limit in the field. :charge:

There was no AI control box, only that stupid computer icon with the gears on the monitor, and although I have the unlimited men option on, my reinforcements plus my army would not have equalled 20. None of my reinforcement battles ever equalled 20 units on the field at once. So...how? *is puzzled*

If you leave the control box unmarked then you will control the reinforcement. ~:)

nono, as in, it's kinda greyed out. There is no option of checking it or not, clicking on it doesn't seem to have any effect whatsoever. So the AI gets control of my reinforcements, and either sits there doing nothing, or charges them into the enemy like they were some wild barbarians. Oh wait, they ARE wild barbarians. But you get my point.

Do you have the 1.2 patch and all?

Oh btw, did you ever upload any of those drawings you did of RTW? I'd really like to see some.

But you get my point. Yeah, that is weird. Pre 1.2 a player using a Captain can't control other armies with Generals, but this has been fixed.

The only thing I can think of is the restricted general camera (but I don't use that option). Let me check.

Well, all reinforcement battles of mine are general-leds with general-led reinforcments so it's kinda equal. Restricted general camera? what's that?

General camera restriction is an option that limits your field of view to that of your general. I just checked, I can still control reinforcement units but the camera is just restricted.

When a player normally opts to control the reinforcement in addition to the unlimited_men_on the battlefield option, the reinforcement appears intantly but it doesn't cross the line when there's no open slot.

Your setting seemed to be defaulted to the AI controlling the reinforcement (checked) and there's no way for you to uncheck the box because as you said there is no box beside the computer/gear icon to check/uncheck.

Try clicking about two box spaces away from the computer/gear icon once. Maybe it's a graphical glitch and you just can't see the box.

Anybody else seen this problem before?
