I think ferres over at TWC has had similar issues, you should probably ask him directly.

I never got that message so far.

Have you tried deleting the Skin modifier and start a fresh new one?

K I'll try that. Will it solve the problem or do you just want to know what happens?

Hi Verc is the 069b the latest version of your script? ~:)
Another one,is there in Max an automated tool to make lesser LoDs ?
Thanks for your support ~;)

Legionario; Yes there are tools for making different LODs in 3ds but since they reduce the number of vertices in the mesh they also interfere with the vertex weights, so you will have to re-weight most of them under the skin modifier.

Both tools are modifiers that are applied to the mesh. The first one is called MultiRes which is probably the easiest. Just turn of vertex merging, set your threshold and hit the 'generate' button at the bottom. The under resolution simply adjust the vert.percent until the desired level is reached.
There are other ways to fine tune it buts that the basic idea.
The other modifier is Optimize. I dont really use this one too much because I find it more cumbersome to figure out the exact parameters needed to achieve desired results.

"Just turn of vertex merging..."

Sorry, that should say 'turn ON vertex merging'

Thanks Orome,I figured that out but never tried so far... ~:) I'll have a go,otherwise it's pain to do manually different LODs CASses,and a waste of time... :embarassed:

@Myrddraal
I'm afraid your problem does not lie in the script version,I stumbled in it a couple of times,after a good exporting,when I tried to reopen it was like that....had to rework the CAS from the start....once I found out,that the bones had doubled in number with no apparent reason why.... :dizzy2:

I found that once, I'll check, and if they have, I'll delete the second version
