View Full Version : Not sure if I'm still in the Prologue, or if my Imperial campaign has started...

Hi...I've had this game about a few weeks, but I'm still newbie at it. This is my first RTS game, and I made a lot of beginner mistakes, like getting my best generals and best units killed off, and getting deep into debt. After learning my lessons, I re-started the prologue, and I'm doing much better. I've taken Tarquini, Bovianum, Tarentum, and now Ravenna, and I've got a handle on my fianances.

I've heard that when you play the Prologue, it will take you right into your first Imperial campaign, but I'm not sure if that's happened yet. How do I know what my overall objective for the Prologue is, other than the senate missions that come up?

Or, to rephrase my question, if I'm still in the Prologue, is there a specific goal I should be working toward, but if I'm in the Imperial campaign now should I be expanding into the Gaul's territory? Was there something about taking 15 provinces to win the Imperial campaign? Or should I just rely on the senate missions to guide me?

Victoria probably spelled out my objectives early on, but I just can't remember!

Nah, Prologue you can do all you want - but the Imperial campaign is external to it. You've most likely finished all that's needed to begin an Imperial Campaign, see if the option is open to you. I did the same thing when i began playing it long ago. I Conquered all of the Northern Italian penninsula before realizing I was still in the Prologue and that it would just continue until I exited it and began a true Imperial campaign.

Oh and welcome to the ORg.

Thanks for the quick replay! Just curious, when I exit Prologue to start my Imperial campaign, will any of my accomplishments (settlements, armies, generals, fianances) carry over, or will I start the Imperial campaign from scratch?

nah, it's all from scratch

the prologue is supposed to just be like a training ground for the big campaign

if you re-install the game and don't want to replay the prologue:
