I have followed some threads about how to make game harder and what the hardest factions are to play with and must ask - how big are your units?
Somehow even if I give other faction more money to start off with and impose some limitation on my strategy (limited sea trade, no spamming startegic units or crusades/jihads) to make the game more interesting - if my starting unit size is medium or large I always pull cleanly through and build up sufficiently to know I will not lose.
If I, however, choose huge units I lose my timing completely and find the game a lot, lot harder.
Its not even as much about training/support cost of every unit which, when you play a small/poor faction, makes it hard enough.
Making me wait for sixteen years before I get an 8-unit strong army is just heartless.
Or is it me being totally weak and all?
:embarassed:
