GA influence over GD AI

Has anyone noticed that in some istances the AI seems to be trying to fulfill GA even in GD mode?
I've seen that for example HRE always crusade for anthioch in my games, while the Sicilians always attacks Tunisia...
Have you ever seen similar patterns in your GD games?

Germany tends to like expanding towards their GA countries to the north-east. I see them going for Lithuania far more often than they go south-east, towards Poland and Hungary. Might be because of the fact that those areas are most often pretty heavily garrisoned, but it could be because of their GA.

Other than that, I mostly see them going for their home provinces.

Most of the catholic factions crusade to the holyland, I dont think its got anything specifically to do with GA, each faction has general objectives or aims itll attempt to achieve.

Examples.

The French will always try and retake the rest of France from the English.

The Spanish will always try and push the Almohads out of Spain.

The HRE will always be more interested in crushing the small kingdoms to its east and eliminating the papacy.

Its similar to the rivalries between Byzantium and Turks, Russia and the Horde, England and France, Spain and the Almohads.
