There have been two recent examples of members posting here, with the aim of flaming another mod. I don't think any mod members are against feedback, but agressive feedback is unnecessary.

This isn't the backroom or another fan site, this the ORG and this is the modding forums, we work with each other, not against.

So please people, keep critisism constructive and we can work together to make the game better. Now, back to the modding :medievalcheers:

There is an old saying.....

If you have nothing pleasant to say ...say nothing at all.

It really does apply to forums.

If you think someone's mod stinks, has poor models, tacky skins, and generally looks like a 5 year old threw it together....well, it doesn't need to be pointed out. Suggest ways to improve. and maybe their mod will improve.

If you believe that a mod cannot achieve it's goals, plans unworkable features, or is just pie in the sky, ask questions, offer suggestions and workarounds, and if you still think they are talking rubbish...ignore the mod. You don't have to click on the topic at all .

The game may be all about cutting people to pieces.....the forum certainly isn't!

Also, if you receive critiscm on your mod, as I did when I started ZTW (especially on other forums) just ignore it. Try to pick out any helpful advice they are giving you but make sure you stand up for yourself, not by retaliation but by achievment. Remember,

Knowledge comes from experience

Keep at what you are doing and the more helpful people will give you good advice, take it and adapt it to fit to you ideals. Modding is for fun.

Couldn't have put it better myself. I don't want to close any threads, we are all allowed our oppinions, but if I see any threads spiralling into shouting matches, they will be closed/deleted.

Another case yesterday, I'm on the bring of closing a lot of threads. I don't want to do that, mods are meant to be discussed, but I may have to.
