Bad Gawain, bad. Taunting us like that. Very bad /shakes finger

2.3 Mbps apparently. Anyone know the link to that speed test site that someone posted before.

I have no idea what 100 Mpbs means. I guess its mega bites per second and Im told that our connection here is the best in the world. But how 100Mpbs relates to 5 mbit I have no idea. Whats mbit? How fast is my connection ?

Faster than light. And unless I'm gravely mistaken 100 Mbps is 20x than 5 mbps. And I still think you're just pretending to be ignorant to tease us, not that that's a bad thing.

100 Mpbs = 100Megabit/sec = 100/8 megabytes/sec.

All speeds are meassured in bit/sec never byte/sec.

I'm no expert on it, but that's what I've learned.

Got 10 Mpbs myself.
The problem is always the other side. ~;)

Me too have 56.6 kbit.
No Idea what it runs at though.

Just don`t feel that I fit in here when I see those with 100 mb/sec...

Anyway, anyone got 200? Just waiting for it..

I beleave the fastest I've known anyone get their internet was a friend of mine who got a 3 gigabit per sec with a fiberoptic connection. You could basically download anything and it would take miliseconds to download.

The annoying part is that the other side needs the same speed. :furious3:

Downloads generally run much much slower than a broadband connection, from what I have heard from my cable owning friends 700-800kbps is a rare and high speed for a download using a download manager to grab from several places.

I have a 2Mb cable connection with Telewest, and I really hate it any time I have to use a dial up connection, as I am not the most patient person in the world.

Cnet's bandwidth meter. Fill in any 3-digit number for "area code" & click "GO". Takes a few seconds for the packet to make a round-trip; when test is finished, shows how your connection stacks up against typical speeds of various connections.

Crongrats on being so luckily/hardworking as to have that, on a more serious note.
