i'm seeing a lot of guests around suddenly.. just curious if the member-structure is being redone or something (some of hte people i see as "guests" used to be junior membres).

Its probably only a temporary error while some things are updated or fixed.

As BKS wisely says, this is unlikely to have been deliberate: if you had been deliberately demoted to guests, you would not still be able to post. It seems, to my untrained eye, to be a display problem with the board: if you look at your entry in the member list everything shows up okay.
I'm sure TosaInu will have it sorted as soon as he can.

We are aware of the problem. Tosa is away until later today but he had KukriKhan look at it. It seems to be more than an isolated account or two. We'll have to wait until Tosa returns this evening. He can then look under the hood and see what happened. Just the kind of "fun" I'd want to be doing on a Friday night. :no:

I don`t post too much, so the few post i post I would like to have counted. :embarassed:

I think your post count will be fine. Have a look at your profile (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/member.php?u=11685): your membership level, avatar, signature, custom user title, post cost, and so on, are all still there. The problem seems to be the display of that information in threads. It also seems to be disproportionately affecting newer members.

I only had about 20 posts, and none were spam. AFAIK I didn't break any rules. This is freaky.

We're resesarching to find the common denominator. Host had recently tweaked (read: disabled) some database management features. Thanks all for your patience.

It's a weird problem, I've added the award hack yesterday and must have messed something up (despite checking it on a test board first). I'm to blame.
My initial guess is that the error is limited to displaying only. IliaDN for example shows as guest, but is member having 224 posts in the database.
Hope to sort it out soon.

Just localised which edited file causes the problem and put the previous one back. KukriKhan found something that will likely really fix the problem, I'll do that later tonight after backing up the database.

Oh, I don't know. From what I have seen of BKS' pics lately, I would say he would make for a good enough cheerleader. I mean, half of the board is already so old (me included) that we wouldn't see the difference. ~D
