What has happened? When did I become a GUEST instead of a MEMBER? When I came to this forum today I'm suddenly a GUEST instead of a MEMBER and can't edit my posts anymore! ~:confused: That's not very nice, because now I can't update the first post of the mod I'm running with the percentages of progress and changes in the mod team etc. :help: I'd appreciate if I could get my permissions to edit my posts back! :help: :help: :help:

I don't think anyone has been demoted. It seems to be a display problem with the board: if you look at your entry in the member list it's fine. If you genuinely had been demoted to guests, you would not still be able to post.

Anyway, there have been a few changes around the Guild in the last few days and obviously one of those has caused an unforeseen problem. I'm sure TosaInu will have it sorted as soon as he can.

We're aware of the problem so just relax while it's fixed. There's a thread in the watchtower where you can vent your frustration if you feel the need. Try not to vent to much though, it gets hot in that tower ~;)

Hello,

I agree, very annoying. I didn't see this one in the testboard, and still don't quite understand what's going on. It's 'fixed' on the surface, I just put one of the original files back. As a result the awards are no longer displayed. It's weird that part of the members are displayed as guest (they are still members in the database, so it's not a problem there), while others were still displayed correctly.

I'll try a known fix for this problem after tonights backup.

Actually no. KukriKhan already found something that could be used. And therother already pointed out that it was a display problem.

I only had to verify that the problem was indeed there, do a safety backup of the database, push another button and wait 0.1 seconds for a script to get executed. The actual fix and other investigations on my part to satisfy my own curiosity didn't take more than 30 minutes. And that was mostly only an integral part of things that had to be done anyway.

I'm not complaining it was easy ~:)

A forum, provided at the time (and I assume expense) of Tosa Inu goes down. Actually it doesn't even do that. A minor malfunction occurs. You can still post, and read threads, yet people here feel the need to basically form the internet equivalent of an angry mob.

Maybe you could stop getting so precious over your avatar's and signatures and actually offer some assistance if you can, if not just hang tight without resorting to what to me appears to be unecessarily rude demands. I could understand you resorting to this behaviour if you paid for this forum, but as far as I am aware, you don't.
