Modding Game so you can play as a unified republic

Is there anyway you can modify the game so all of the Roman Factions are SPQR? Also, could you still make senate offices? I doubt this is possible, but any help would be appreciated. I really want to play as a unified Rome. I know i will have an unfair advantage, but it will still be fun.

It is possible, in fact there are many mods which already have it so you don't have to do it yourself. I know RTR does, I'm not sure about the others, but I'm sure someone will post....
