why are all the factions not playable

why are all the factions not playable is there a version out there that makes all the factions playable

There is a way. I downloaded the all factions mod from strategic comand centre. Thats the best way to play as them all. Alternitivly you could edit the game to play as all factions

There is the link for the all civs mod. I have to agree that it is one of the stupidest things on RTW. Whatever motivated CA to do that is pretty stupid.

Well, when BI comes out, they'll prolly advertise that with the expansion you can also play all the rest of the factions.

i have tryed the download but we did not have the proper files so that is why i need to know if there is a version out there where you can play all factions.

You can edit the game yourself, it's easy enough. Search the forums, it's somewhere here.

Here it is:

Find the folder: \Rome-TotalWar\Data\World\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign

Open the file: Descr_strat.txt

Cut the factions from the section (either unlockable or non-playable) and copy in the playable section. Btw, dont put the Senate (SPQR) in the playable, or your game may not work properly.

Also make a back up file of the original .txt file, so if you do sth wrong you can easily try again.

Amazon, don't you mean 'features' as a certainsomething has become known around here? ~;) Anyway, i don't want new features in the next game, i just want the current one's to be fixed.

Cant find a thread but heres what to do: Go to my computer, c drive, programs,activishion.Rome total war, data, maps, imperial campaign an then move all the factions from unplayable to playable except rebels and senate. Remember to back up the file first though.
