i am guessing that CA just gave up on the patches for RTW but i can not see why... there are still so many more bugs that need to be worked out. just the other day i was playing a siege and right when it started half of my men fell off the wall. in my vision that is a HUGE error. so i would like to know WHY DID CA STOP MAKING PATCHES?????????? :help:

The BI expansion should include many bug fixes, features, as well as a patch or two itself.

Go to his thread for a fix to some bugs: https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=44795&page=1

CA stopped making patches because their contract with av said they would only make two.

I think, when you play online, that you should use original export_descr_unit.txt file. Also important if you want to watch replays done with original 1.2.

There seems to be some discussion about whether there will be a standalone patch for RTW after the release of BI.

I was wondering is there anyway I can install the 1.2 patch again, I uninstalled the game like a week ago and been having problem trying to install the patch again. Is there a way I can install the patch 1.2 with my freshly installed rtw vanella version? I have read many post and see that there is way a, if so how can do it? :help: :help: :help: :help: :help:

Uninstall RTW, use program from:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290301

to remove all traces of RTW, reinstall then apply patch.

easy - just install it ~

You don't need 1.1, 1.2 includes it
