We were never going to beat Juventus.
We were never going to beat Chelsea.
We were never going to beat AC Milan.

Well, we've ******* done it!!!

WOOOOO!

Wow, dude what a game. That was an incredible comeback. Down and out for the count and on the 9th count they rallied back to win. Crazy.

Will be fun teasing my neighbour. He said Liverpool would play defensively all game and lose. But whatta game!! ~

so what's the deal about liverpool not being able to defend this championship next time? the sportscaster was talking about 'what a travesty it would be' or some such thing.

It is because... CHAMPIONS! excuse me... there are only 4 places available to each country's league and being behind Chelsea (Not European Champions), Arsenal (Not European Champions), Man U (Not European Champions) and Everton (Not European Champions) means that we don't get a slot.
Not unless UEFA change the ruling (which they said they may do next year) or the FA give Liverpool the spot instead of another club (I'd suggest Everton).

I had such a great time watching this game!! ~:)

I first thought: AC milan won't give away their 3-0 anymore. Almost no one makes much goals against AC. THen they came back, they did it! During the match, I kind of became a fan of Gerrard and Liverpool. I love their way of playing!

Dudek the best!! 2 of 5 penalties went in, haha!

Welcome to a very happy family. ~

What a game, what a game. 3-0 down and a shambles in the first half... it was embarrassing. :embarassed:

Boy, what did Rafa say to them in the dressing room at half-time! I couldn't believe it when the goals started streaming in... and then Liverpool eased off (or perhaps AC Milan woke up) and we had to go to penalties.

What a save by Dudek in the closing moments of extra time! Fantastic. And what a performance on the goal line... wobbly Grobbly all over again.

Yeah, Dudek must be the first one to stop 'Sjevtschenko' from shooting such an oppotunity in. ~:)

I freaken hate penalties. They totally ruin the game for me. I love it when it's just at the end and one side scores. The feeling is great.

BP why do you hate penalties ?
Im not really a big fan of em but I reallyt don't mind seeing them , especially after such an exiting match like last night game.

I didn't watch the match, I am not really into football

I did hear lots of shouting and fireworks. Loads of fireworks and dogs barking.

Liverpool>World. ~:)

I was quite happy with the penalties. I usually hate pens, because it is an English tradition to kick the ball into the fans and miss the net completely.

I'm not a Milan-fan, but those penalties should have been retaken. Dudek was 1-2 metres out from the line before the shot, and that's not allowed.

Weak from a good judge unfortunately.

Beautiful comback by Liverpool in the second half though.

Hopefully Gerrard will stay with us next season now. Rafa thinks he will. I was watching the parades in Liverpool half hour ago..

I take walks, long walks, and I take them every day. Today, I saw more Englishmen than the native folks/primates.

Didn't see the match. It seems Liverpool got it huh?

Human beings: The few who try to live the life in any human way.
Primates: The rest who piss on my city. :furious3:

Not the least, I switched to dots. The bloody forum purges non-breakable spaces. ~;)

Tough one... Gerrard will probably stay if he can defend the cup, otherwise IMHO he'll miss out on another year of Championship football and want to go elsewhere.

They were estimating 750,000 people turned out to see the Champions.

isn't there a rumour of Gerard going to Chelsea ?

:balloon2:

Craterus

Yes.

Thankfully, just rumours. I don't think he'd join them.

They can buy the Premiership, but not Steven Gerrard. I hope.

ok thanks for clearing that up Craterus ~:)

So how are they going solve the problem of who will play CL next year >?

Liverpool won this year , meaning they are in the CL next year, however they didn't finish high enough in the Premier League, so How are they going to sort this out ,

Does anyone know for sure yet ?

UEFA are still debating, I think.

I think it would be really funny if they let us in, instead of Everton. To be honest though, I don't know how it's going to work.
