Unfortunately for your request, i have no boundaries. Supposedly i have something wrong with my head, which means i find it difficult to tell what is right and wrong in situations like this. But i'm just going to ignore my doctor's advice, and follow what i think is right, which is annoy clayton until he packs up and leaves, never to come back again. I haven't said anything about clayton so far and I do see where you are coming from but enough is enough. It is obvious that he is filling up the forums with posts that, in my mind, have virtualy no content. And besides that, most are just statements that don't contribute to the site. Now this brings us to the question of what should be done. I'm not accusing anyone of this because I don't know how this is being handled, but if the people see the moderators not taking action against a blatant spammer, they will take matters into their own hands. I have seen it on many other sites. I know it is the moderators job to police the forums, and I think that they all do a very good job here, but if people feel that the moderators are not doing enough, they will try to do it themselves. I'm not meaning to insult anyone, but Mikeus does have a valid reason for (most of) what he has said.

I think that we need a more rigid policy for dealing with unwanted posts. Either we have the moderators crack down on spammers by deleting posts, banning, warning, etc. That, or we have the moderators not take much action and let the people say what they want to try to get him to stop spamming. Those are the two main ideas I have at the moment. It's just an idea but I do think more has to be done to prevent spamming.

Reeeaaal big surprise that his favorite era is the "Rome" era, since he just bought this game and now fancies himself a history buff. And it's not exactly hard to "figure out how to have war" without guns...people have been fighting with blunt objects larger than bullets for millenia, and even monkeys are smart enough to figure out how to use a pointy stick. Have a look through young Claytons previous posts and you'll find that this is one of his more intelligent(for want of a better word) attempts.
I think it is great that young gamers are trying to contribute, but Clayton my friend, be serious son. Sooner or later (sooner we hope) the mods will be locking, warning , banning your posts, due to a lack of contributing, intelligent content. Have a browse through these forums and read read read. My guess is that 99% of your questions will be answered without you having to type a single word.

Yes, the roman times are very interesting and one of my fav's as well. Alas, i've only read as far as Julious Ceasar crossing the Rubikon river and starting the major civil war that brought the end of the Senate. But i haven't read the Da Bello Galliko neither the Da Bello Helvetii (the memoiries of Ceasar of his wars against the Gauls and the Helvetii tribe). I have heard it's quite interesting. My favorite though is the greek history from 490 up to the Hellenistic times. Ehm, i'm greek so perhaps i'm biassed in favor of them ~:) . But my second favorite is the Roman history ~;) .

I was playing Diablo2 for more than 2 years and i can say i was an expert player, when i made a REALLY STUPID post that even someone with 1-2 weeks experience would not make, well, i guess i was just tired or sth like that, i wasn't transformed from a normal person into a stupid one suddenly and for a minute or 2, then came back into my normal cleverness!

Finally just take to mind that if someone really has a problem, either no friends or lower education or not being as clever as you, is enough of a bad thing for him, don't try to give him a worse time than what he experiences in his/her everyday life. Be kind to ppl, it costs nothing. If you don't want to take the time to be kind to them, you could also not take the time to be vengefull against them.

Last but not least, i don't think having a lot of posts and a regular membership means you have respect or whatever. I just don't see why.

It is obvious that although Clayton may be full of the best intentions his delivery lacks polish and his posts grate on the nerves of some other guild members. It seems like the typical "crying baby" syndrome. Everyone has a tolerance level, just most can't tolerate the baby crying for long.

Revelation, I am looking at it from both sides. clayton has been posting in the Monastery for nearly two months, but he's just started posting in the Colosseum this week (to my knowledge). The Monastery patrons and I have been "dealing" with him for a lot longer than the Colosseum crowd. In this time, I have been communicating with clayton both publically and privately. The public communications are there for the world to see. Private ones are strictly between clayton and I.

I have the utmost confidence that Cat and Nelson will deal with all the issues when they have the time to do so and that they will be fair and just in their decisions. In the meantime, I'm merely trying to calm things and prevent some patrons from making mistakes that may cause them grief later. I must conclude that I am doing so unsuccessfully.
