I have never seen the original Khan, Ogadai, gain a sucessor, or even marry. Has ANYONE had a Golden Horde Khan gain an heir in their games?

I think I did, but I forgot the name of the heir because it was a long time ago. The golden horde in my campagne was rather a weak one since it just disintergrated overtime as novgorod regained its provinces from them.

Seen it several times. They don't have many names though, so they go quickly into II, III, etc.

They even inherited Denmark once ~ . So they get married.

The Mongols usually have heirs-a-plenty, but sense they come out as Mongol heavy cavalry, they get thrown away in pointless battles. Causing them to die out easily when the AI horde goes against human factions.
