I've made available 3 different versions of the same thing - the STW Community Map Pack 1.13 and 1.14 are the same - but different in one respect - the installation procedure.

First off- the 1.13 version comes in two flavors - Installmaker and WinZip versions. Both are 5 megabytes and contain the same things - 79 maps - 8 historical battles, and 40 readme's and verious other documents from the map's creators.
The default installation path is always C:\ - and the "Program Files" folder was included - so all you had to do was specify the proper drive - if you are running an English OS. Problem there - not all of you are running English OS's.

My Half-Assed Solution for the moment: http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif
- The STW MapPack 1.14 is intended to cover those of you out there with non-English Operating Systems for the moment - until we make the localized versions.
It comes with special instructions for the installation and it also briefs everyone on what to expect in the next week or two. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif

The 1.14 version is actually an Installmaker EXE file wrapped in a WinZip file. Run the EXE file after you unzip the ZIP file. Follow the given directions for proper installation. This version allows you to specify where your "Total War" folder is installed at. The 1.13 versions DO NOT - it assumed that your Total War folder would be in an English folder called Program Files, silly me.

I hope you all enjoy what the map creators have made so far with what they have. Expect more goodies and more maps very soon from these guys and others!

Now - for Gods' sake - go download these files and install them post-haste! If you run a Shogun related site - post them up there!!! It's really worth the wait for the 5 megabyte download!!! http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

Keep It Up!!!

thanks daimyo,

every time you do up one of these map packs i notice a sharp increase in the variety of the maps being used in multi. always nice to see my maps actually being used and your packs make it easier for all to do so.

K.

(with about 20 gigs of hd space being used throughout a multitude of harddrive partitions (last drive letter being used currently is N), you dont even want to know how and where i store my maps :)
