A review by Berserker!

Lego Star wars is practially a action game. And it's good at that. The actual story of the game is quite short but no fillar. The story covers all 3 released episodes of the "remastered" Star wars.

Gameplay: 9/10
Graphics: 8/10
Controls:10/10
Audio: Who cares about the noise of lightsaber flying through the air? So i'll give NA
Music: Depends
Length:5 days for decitated players.
Content:7/10
Overall: 9/10
The brillant thing about LST is that the gameplay great, and simple. For offensive buttons, you can attack with your lightsaber or blaster (they are the guns droids use basically) or use the force to force push droids etc. and other attacks can be made with the force. That's it. Two buttons will make ever-so-cute lego Jedi attack. The button to attack also deflects blaster bullets or someone swing their saber at you. And it's very good still. No long lists of controls for you to remember. A couple of puzzles are there through the levels. They're quite fun to do, but some puzzles are a bit fustrating. Also, the force can make interact with objects to open them (a example is at the start of the first episode's first level.) or to get lego studs (they're practially like money) to use on getting characters to use in freeplay mode (which you can use to get studs or minikits(Minikits I'll leave you find what use are they in the game.) I'll put in more later.

Woohoo! Someone else who has played this unexpected gem. It's perhaps the most enjoyable game I've played this year - everything about it is set up to be plain fun. It's short, sweet and very much to the point, and much better for it! No pointless backtracking, no filler levels, no bland and repetitive bits, no stupid difficulty spikes put in solely to slow the player down. The emphasis is on gameplay, not graphics (though in action it still looks very good). The levels are always nicely bite sized, but have plenty of secrets to hunt down if you're so inclined. In short it does away with so many of the irritations of other contemporary games and focuses on what really counts: fun. It’s certainly not a game for children only; there’s plenty for older gamers.

Here's hoping for a sequel covering the original trilogy. Certainly sales have been good enough to warrant one; it's been in the top few positions of the UK charts since release, and it's still at number 2.

I only tried the demo, was kinda funny and it is certainly VERY original. Demo is available here (http://www.gamershell.com/download_8590.shtml) BTW. It's 227 MB. ~

this game is indeed fun. it's basically a mario brothers type of deal, but with star wars characters. i liked how you needed to use the talents of all your characters to pass certain puzzles. it just has a fun vibe to it... it's good stuff.

I love the multiplayers for my PS2 version. Is it a great game? Define great! Pretty, smooth, no horrible dialogue (ahem...ahem....). Just fun!

My sister can't wait to play it which I think is a pretty high complement (sorry Madame Frogbeastegg, you know girls don't play games as much as guys do!). She just think it sounds so much fun. Which I think is a good goal for many games.

I played the demo on Xbox and it seemed pretty cool. I might pick it up.

Played the demo for about a minute..

What is all the fuss about??? The controls are freaking unplayable!! If wanted to play annoying console action game I'd buy an N64.

The game is fun and harks back to arcade games of old.

One thing that wasn't mentioned was the Jedi jump attack.

Jump up and on the way day attack. Your lightsaber spears into the ground and sends a shockwave out in an area attack.

Love Lego, Love Star Wars and the combination is very fun and funny. The cutscenes do well in sending up Star Wars.

I thought I was the only person to think this game fun. I just got this game, early x-mas gift, and have not stoped playing it.

One tip, since the game is not super long resist the urge to look at any faqs and force (get it force) your self to find all the extras and secrets on your own.

This is a very good game for some simple fun, offers little challenge but just enough not to bore you. Graphics are pretty good and the fact you cant 'die' so to speak really means your always in the game and having fun. worth a buy if your looking to pick up a quick game that wont offer too much of a challenge.

step 1. don't play an action game with a keyboard.

step 2. what did you expect from a game called lego star wars? not every game can be as mind numbingly complex as HOI2.

step 3. lighten up.

Great fun; if it had contained the original trilogy it'd have been perfect.

Yeah that would have been fun but would there have been enough space on disc to even cope? (actually asking, i have no idea how much a ps2 games cd can hold)
