I agree. If i had never been introduced to the demo for AoE, i would never be here today. I'd probably have a life!! ~:eek: Heheh, i love AoE...me and my dad still play it once a month on Multiplayer, and i always kick has butt. 6 years of that game, and he's only beat me 3 times!

It looks amazing, i have just seen the screen shots from gamespot and i cant wait until it comes out. Graphics are amazing for a Age Of Empires game

I downloaded a 28 min video of the E3 demo and watched it last night. Those cannons are absolutely gorgeous. Already, though, through the demo video, are several shortfalls revealed. Despite all that, it should be a great game.

Wow. I play my friends hahahhahahahahahahahahhahahahhaha. THEY ARE SO RUBBISH! No grasp of strategy or tactics at all...

They just build loads of cannons and men and send them to attack me. A quick back attack or good defensive stategy sorts that out.

Heh, me and my dad play the original AoE. I've got a lot of good memories on that game...it's not unusual for us to be playing it until midnight sometimes, once we eliminate the AI, it's just one big war for resources. One good game was when we were play a gigantic continental map, and he tried to invade me from the rear by the sea. He brought a huge 60 ship navy and 15 landing ships full of troops, and in a battle comparable to Trafalgar, my small 40 ship navy just about held them off, but with huge losses. The entire original navy was actually destroyed, but renewed as i kept on making new ships all the way threw the battle. Shortly after his defeat at sea, i made myself a small navy, and loaded 10 armoured elephants onto a boat. Talk about pathetic...a person who could easily have beaten me with his large armies and superior navies, quite literally beaten into the ground by 10 elephants. Next time, i think we'll play AoE II, just for the fun of pounding him into the ground with Elite Samurai as the Japanese, or smashing him up with Persian Elephants as the persians (duh!).
