As for me - I like whiskey ( scottish ) and some cocktails.
If beer is not available, I go with vodka. Hangover-free and it goes with lots of mixers.

My favourite would definitely be wine (even if beer would be available). :barrel:
After that a nice single-malt Scotch (preferably Islay) would come second (but that would only be if beer was not available)
Of course pereferences largely depend on the situation ~:)
Wine here as well, only red. I also drink beer, but that is more a party drink.
Oh $$#$#%$ ... how could I forget wine?
I like wine but not cheap one.

ugh, vodka tastes like petrol...
sherry always tastes nice, as does a quality malt, perhaps Laphroiag, the type which goes cloudy when water is added...

Your Laphroiag goes cloudy when you add water? :inquisitive:

There is a special one, about 56% alcohol, in a different coloured box... it tastes much better than the normal one

Hmmm ... I have to try that, I actually have a bottle of this cask strength version at home, but never mixed it with water ~:) ~

My favourite is water. :winkg: Then if there is no water, I will have water.
If I was forced to drink alchohol, it would be wine.

You poor thing, you've never tried Laphroiag... It is a Single Malt Whisky, Distilled in Scotland...

...on Islay...
Whiskey, whisky, wine (preferably red), gin (in a G&T is good...), various cocktails (I do like a good caipiroska)
Pretty much anything in fact, if it's good quality.
Vodka... and ofcourse it has to be Absolut if I can get my hands on it!

1. Beer (preferably the strong Belgian kind)
2. Porto (is it Port in English ? Wine from Portugal)
That's pretty much it, I've been trying to get into whiskey, but it's a little too strong for my taste, I prefer to drink large quantities of whatever I'm having ~D

eww vodka is really disgusting on its own.......but mixed....
I'd go for Whiskey (try playing Whiskey Chess at parties.....you wont really remember much about playing after a while)

when vodka is mixed with Coke, it doesn't taste as bad, only of petrol and coke mixed...

I love wine, but beer comes close in second. I haven't tried a lot of types though. I still need to try sake, and absinth(the druggy one).
Quick tip for the vodka-haters, don't drink the vodka if it comes in a plastic bottle! ~D
Nobody has said tequila yet. Strange...

I've already sold my soul to the anti-christ. ~;)
What was wrong with it BTW? Besides the way it make you want to touch yourself.

The thing from which it is made does things to your brain, taking to much can cause serious brain damage...
I heard that during prohibition in Norway, people used to put a coin in a glass, pour in coffee until the coin disappeared, and then poured in pure alcohol until the coin was clearly visible again. I wouldn't mind trying that...

They removed the dangerous substance in modern absinth.
The only good stuff with alcohol I've tried is cider.
Aye, a nice "aged" single Malt from the Isle of Islay. So smooth .....
I'm always willing to consume a pint of good old West Country cider. I also occasionally have a vodka and orange.
Absinth is just evil. It tastes a bit like aniseed and it just sits in your stomach  .
A good white wine is always nice with the right sort of food, but I haven't really acquired the taste for red wine yet.
Beer is my mainstay, but I wouldn't be totally lost without it ~ .

Vodka, preferably with Irn Bru but if not then mixed with Coke. I used to drink it straight but that gets silly.
On that note I'm off to the pub in 2 1/2 hours, let the good times commence

Archers peach schnapps with orange juice is nice. A German/Austrian wine called sturm is nice and sweet, but strong like hell, although you don't really notice it's strength until it's too late....Then there are the fruit wines. I like anything so long as it's sweet.
Most beers above 5% and Irish and Scotch whiskies. Also, if anyone has the means, I highly recommend Manneschevitz.

Tequila. Large quantities of Tequila. ~ Not that I'm an alcoholic; I just have to drink a lot because I have a very high tolerance to alcohol. Must be my irish blood. Unfortulately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), this also means that I have no tolerance for marijuana.
