Is TW bad for your eyes?

Ok maybe I am using the wrong settings but whenever I finsh playing a 3 hour game on TW I feel that my eyes are a little out of focus. I highly doubt this is normal so it get's me wondering, am I using the wrong resolution. I have a 17 inch screen, should I up my resolution from 800x600 to 1024x1200?

I don't know about your screen, but my eyes also hurt when i play lots of RTW. Most sane people would take it as a sign that maybe it would be wise to give it a rest but conquering the world can't wait. I use eye drops called "Visine" which are like artificial tears. You should be able to buy it at your friendly neighborhood convenience store. That always makes me feel better.

My eyes don't burn, they just seem out of focus, as if I need glasses, for a period of time. Then when I stop playing they come back to normal. I think I should raise the resolution. That might fix the problem.

I still think your eyes may just be tired. Then again it could very well be your screen. You say it only happends after you play for 3 hours and then you take a break and its better?

I usually spend like 6 hours a day straight on the screen, and I get no problems. It's only the fn TW games. :furious3:

when I jacked my screen refresh rate up to 90 or 100 hz it made a big difference in the effect on my eyes.

But yes, it doesn't help your eyes to look at a screen for hours on end

As often as you can think about it, look at the farthest thing from you until your eyes focus on it. It'll help

The thing that affects me is the scrolling on the map of Europe in MTW. If I have played it for too long, I feel as though the whole world is scrolling.

Yes same here BP my eyes also kill after playing tota lwar. I have to stop every 1 hour for a 20 minute break. How bad is that!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got dizzy once after playing a huge session of RTW, but that calmed down after 30mins... :dizzy2:

i have it too sumtimes. not only with RTW, just when i'm tired. i always notice it when i'm playing shooters, i can't concentrate anymore and my reaction goes down, i overlook enemies and miss the easiest shots
