While reading today Mail, it had an article in the Travel section about a medieval castle beening built in France that wont be completed until 2023

This looks quite interesting.

If this has been translated from french, then it's a bit dodgy. Supposedly, this project is 'touristic'. And as for this....i award the greatest imaginary cookie ever to anyone who understands it:

You may realise that from many viewpoints, this building site straight from the past will answer many expectations of modern men and women.

Interesting project , but you would think they would employ more people .
I mean using medieval methods the quarry alone would employ the whole workforce , let alone the excavations construction and timber working .

Very fascinating; experimental archaeology on a grand scale, and on a subject that really deserves it. Anyone know of a site with more and better pictures? And a bit more information? Considering the scale, cost and import of this project there is barely a thing about it on that site, and the English translation is rather dodgy. Shame, because I would love to see the minutiae. If it were in England I would be looking into the practicality of a visit.
