Not really - most of the food is rather crappy.

For some reason, once or twice a year, I still somehow have the urge to go there and eat e.g. a MacRib - often when I get hungry while traveling and do not have the time to look around for alternatives.

With MacDonalds at least I know what (crap) to expect ~:)

Harvey's or A&W over MacDonald's any day. Hell, even a chip wagon over MacDonald's.

Sometimes, though, I get a craving for a really, really badly made burger...but when I get the MacDonald's burger, I learn that they can't even do "crappy" properly.

McDonalds really isn't that crappy, admittedly it isn't good either.
But it's great when you just have like 2 euro's in your wallet , and you're really in need of a McFlurry or something. ~;)

I don't support the fast food industry. I just want it to die off and then maybe normal restaurants will lower their prices. I always like to eat in chinese restaurants. They are my favorite. The food is great and plentyful and the cost is tiny(like 7$-9$ CND). Why would I consider paying the same for crap like McDonalds?

Dont like it. It has less to do with their food than with principles (*looks for principles*). They are getting smaller and smaller for the same money(because apparently 60% of americans cant stop themselves at 1 mcdonalds meal), contain more and more calories everyday and and are usually packed with 12year-olds trying to impress their first gf by buying her a chickenburger and fries. Would you girls be impressed? :inquisitive: Apart from really hungry people who cant even speak because they salivate so much.

BTW, did you know that a mcdonalds average meal with a chicken hamburger, salad, fries and a coke contains approx 1600 calories?

And that an average male needs 2500 cal, and an average female 2000 cal a day.

So if youre getting 2 meals you are waaay over your daily intake and therefore getting fat.

I concur! Although the Chinese food in America seems just as bad for you as the McDonald's.

I beg your pardon? They must different kind of chinese people in America because here the chinese food(from restaurants) is better then any native restaurant.

Most Chinese restaurants where I'm from are owned by Koreans and it's very greasy food.

I usually just stick to Dim Sum or just go with authentic Korean or Japanese food when I have an oriental fix.

I dislike the food in McDonalds. But I do think that as a business, it is a great one - you see, I admire success, wherever it's to be found.

My views exactly. The food is not your first choice, but you recognize the name, and you may choose it over an unknown place, in a pinch. Obviously many people do like McDonalds, as evidenced by expanding waistlines, and the increasing number of their stores.

Weird. I thought there was less grease then most restaurants. Plain rice and some duck or pork, no grease on any of them. Also vegetable and noodle soup, still no grease.

I am aware of those bad chinese food places though from the american movies, I agree those look sick, but they kind of fast foody as well, especially the takeouts. We don't have any of those where I live.

I refuse to eat in Mc Donalds - globalising, abusing, capitalist pigs!

And the 'food' is crap as well.

I truly dislike McDonald's, it is one of the few things that I won't eat unless starving (and at 195 lbs I am drought and famine-resistant so starving means like 3 days without food).

I have eaten Mexican food in a place where the guard was armed, I've eaten C Rations and MREs and once I had to eat untoasted Eggos (surely the hardest thing to get down, if you don't believe me try to eat a thawed Eggo waffle without toasting or otherwise cooking it), I've eaten pizza that spent the night on my dashboard and was heated on my truck motor, but McDonald's truly is horrible. I'll eat BK, Wendy's, Taco Bell, Der Wienerschnitzel, Jack-in-the-Box, Carl's Jr, Sonic, KFC, Dairy Queen, you-name-it.

Not Mickey Ds. Even their commercials are bad.

Gah!

I won't touch fastfood... the quality is disturbing... I don't like prefab food cooked by some anonymous greasy pizza-faced boy who just took a whiz without washing his hands our something like that. I prefer to either cook my food myself, or by someone I know who isn't going to do something naughty to it before I eat it.

No, the food isn't good, it isn't that cheap either, and the business ethics are terrible.

Subway is about as far as I can tolerate when it comes to eating out.

McDonalds = burgers are junk. Fries are saltier than the sea.
Burger King = burgers are junk that tastes like its already been eaten and then stuck together again. Fries seemed to have been fried and then deep fried again.
KFC = so hideously greasy it falls out of your hands. The chicken doesn't taste like chicken either.
Pizza Hut = hideously greasy pizzas with those horrible overly doughy bases on all varieties. A pizza base should be no thicker than 5 mm at the most otherwise its not a pizza. Should be crispy.
Wimpy = tastes like plastic.
Starbucks = over-priced and impossible to sit in the place without listening to 8 different mobile phone conversations from 'empowered' women and hearing the word 'like' every other word.

I equate it to smoking a cigarette or something equally poisonous. Once in awhile I do get a small order of fries...the hot fries are just too damn good. See it's like an addiction. McD's is a drug.

McDonalds is one of the places I try to avoid in my life . . .

The food is disgusting there! I prefer just a small snackbar.

I do like fast-food, but it has to be nice.

I avoid Mc Donalds for all the reasons that Jag has stated...but at the same time I will occasionaly get the urge (usually at 9 o'clock at night on my way home from London seeing friends, so at victoria station usualy) to have a cheeseburger and chocolate milkshake. Part of me still assoiciates Mc Donalds with fun and tasty food likely from my daily brainwashing by the TV as a kid. Luckily one fix every 6 months manages to allow me to bury the melancholy.

Euf...Pizza Hut gives me food poisoning....i once was invited to Pizza Hut twice in two years for a friends birthday, and a day after going there, each time i had horrible food poisoning. Coincidence? I think not. And as for McDonalds....bleuch! The burgers are pitiful scraps of meat, stuffed in between cardboard with a slice of gherkin that everyone pulls out and goes 'ew' when they bite into it. And the chips? So salty, it's like drinking sea water. And then there's burger king. The burgers - pretty much the same, only they actually taste slightly nice. And the chips? Complete opposite of McDonalds. No salt on them, but there is some flavour.
