Oh yeh!

Though I say again, I would swap all these - somewhat hollow - victories for a win in the ashes.

But anyway, we beat the Aussies - na na na na naaaaaaa!

Finally it might be worth watching Australians play cricket.

Congratulations on the one day win, but I wouldn't be getting to arrogant yet. From the 25 overs I saw of the English batting, it wasn't anything hugely impresive. Any other day and you would have had ~15 less in extras alone. It will be the most competitive ashes for years, but I wouldn't be saying you've won it (bookmarks thread).

But no one is stating that we are going to win the ashes, far from it. We know full well now and have had so many bad performances we do not expect to win it, we are merely more hopeful. And these one day wins do help. ~D

While only one explicityly stated they are going to win the Ashes, there is a lot of implicit crowing about it in the other two.

Yeah yeah. Good victories for both England and Bangladesh. That Harmison kid is turning into a monster...

It's all just practice for the Ashes, as my father used to say... If you Pommies manage to take that baby home, you will be given homage.

I have to admit, I was barracking for Bangladesh with 15 overs to go. It's always nice to see a big underdog victory. The looks on those kids' faces was priceless. Ashraful was incredible to watch. He simply refused to be intimidated. 100 off 101. World class.

Our fielding was abysmal.

A looser is well a looser. For example if i was to beat some one i a race i may feel the need to taunt them by saying: "Ha you lost looser!" Only if i didn't like him of course. I feel however i am in a good position to taunt the aussies. You taunt us. Now i taunt you so for another time i shall taunt. ~:)

Losers!

Ahhhhh so satasfing. And as for the ashes. No i doubt we will win them. But, for now, I shall bask in well deserved glory!
Cheers England! ~

I'm not going to say anything now I may regret in September.

But it is nice to see someone other than England make a complete Horlicks of the start of a tour for a change. England are looking like a good side, and Harmison MAY be our traditional once-in-20-years demon fast bowler (god knows its overdue). Australia are going to get a lot better than this though.

You remember that welshman who said he would chop his nuts off if Wales won the rugby, and he did? I wonder if we could pay him to chop his todger off for England to win the ashes? Its not as if he needs it anymore is it...

Harmison is looking pretty scary indeed. How does he stack up in a Test?

make a complete Horlicks

How does he stack up?

Well for a long time he was a promising but frustrating bowler, who clearly had the potential to be another Curtley Ambrose, then last March he took 7 for 12 against the West Indies and had a phenomenal 2004. He struggled with a niggling injury in S Africa and his confidence was clearly very low, which was a worry, thankfully he has come right back to form this summer :charge:

In West Indies 2004 - 23 wickets at 14.86

v New Zealand 2004 - 21 wickets at 22.09

v West Indies 2004 - 17 wickets at 29.52

Overall he's taken 121 wickets at 27.95, which considering it includes his indifferent early career and his awful tour of S Africa are damn good numbers. Before he went to S Africa he was rated #1 in the world.

So I reckon he stacks up pretty good ~

You are from England, at least learn how to use your own language correctly. And if that's too difficult, at least don't proclaim your inability to spell by using large font sizes. Typographic errors I can handle, but you obviously are clueless when it comes to the correct way to spell loser.

You can interpret this as being bitter over the loss if you want, but it is not. Systematic misspelling of a word really annoys me. The board has a spell check option, if you know you can't spell well then use it.

He's a pretty useful prospect all right. We need to keep our feet on the ground though, the Times yesterday said if he bowls as well he did on Sunday we will win the ashes.

Right. So, if he bowls all the way through an entire series of five day tests as he did in one limited overs match...

Mind you as MS says he's put together some good figures in tests too. This could be a make or break summer for his career though as the west indies and NZ are not exactly top flight opposition. So these early successes against the Ozzies will be very good psychologically.

Well i am sorry. I don't come here to learn how to spell. I am sorry if you have to pick up on every spelling mistake. I think you and every one else knew what i meant. I think your just trying to be pick and get on my case now. So please stop being a nag and get of my case. To be honest I don't really care how i spell here, its not going to affect my life is it.
What i said was a little joke ok?
And i thought your I don't know how to spell comment was very cheap personally and i took offense to it.. And if you expect to give me a cheap comment then you can expect offence to it.
I do not wish to be rude, I am not here to be rude. I am here to participate in threads and forums. Now if you don't mind I have wasted to much time here already.
Please note dgb this is not meant to be insulting you in anyway. I am just telling you wait i thought of your comment.
