Alright, tommorow, on 6/20 I leave for Germany.
Why? Let's just say Ser Clergane has been a very bad man.....
Just kidding there, it's really because I found an internship at a German transportation company.
My pay: €1200 for 4 weeks.
Then it's 2 weeks in Amsterdam and 2 in Bavaria before heading home.
Just one question: Just how bad is the food there?

Is this some kind of invasion???
Tomorrow you, next Sunday Kaiser ... who is next? :stare:

The food will be OK (I guess), and you can always go to a Chinese restaurant and ask for real Chinese food (instead of the dumbed down version for us Europeans ~;) ). When a colleague of mine from Shanghai stayed in Frankfurt for two months she survived that way...
Have a good trip and enjoy your stay and traveling ~
Should you have any more questions, let me know...

i'm 16, so it's good
yea, it's net.
Pretty good money imo - I think living costs are a bit lower in Germany than over here, and you could survive quite happily on that money over here.
Have fun Demon, are you planning to do any certain sights / things while in the two countries? Or will you be working too hard? :p
I have only been to Germany once - Berlin - and thought the country was beautiful, really well kept clean and some lovely areas.
Anyway have fun.

Well, I'm going to Berlin on the fourth of next month, with my college's history department. We're then going on to Krakow and Auschwitz-looks like being a fun trip.

Have fun. My dad liked it when he went there. And he stayed on a street that is the same as our name: Linden. ~D
Don't let on that you've practised Scientology

Hey if your anywhere near Landau (thats in Rhineland-Westphalia I think) be sure to drop by and say hi ~:)

If you dig fried meat and huge servings of beer, not bad at all. Have a nice trip and remember to have fun.

Fried Meat: Who hates fried stuff?
Beer: HELL YEA!
Beware, though, they put mayo on their fries. Blürgh.
Food is horrible, avoid jaegerwurst like the plague. But, you can drink legally and the germans know how to pour beer. You will really miss the real thing when you see the 'tiny heini's' in the Dam.

Yeah and they don't call a quarter-pounder with cheese, a quarter-pounder with cheese.

Jaegerwurst?
What's that?

Well I know Jaeger is a German Rifleman from the Napoleonic wars, and wurst is a type of sausage...so I think it's Riflemen's Sausage?

Some comments:
"Jäger" is the German word for "hunter"
I actually think Fragony is referring to "Jagdwurst" not "Jägerwurst" (there is a "Jägerschnitzel", though).
"Jagdwurst" is a sausage made of a mixture of beef and pork. As the meat in the sausage is not fine ground but rather contains some little chunks, not everybody might like the texture ~:)
BTW, it's not the kind of sausage that would be in a peel and that would look like a Wiener or a "Bratwurst" - it's usually sold in a jar.
BTW #2: I don't like it either ~;)

heh my 1 friends nickname that we got in German is Jaeger. the names of some of them are reminicent of an old Stormtrooper squad during WWI, with the helmets and all. lol totally off topic I know.

When in germany try to
1) find people in Lederhosen (sp ?)
2) dancing to Schlagers (again sp, you Germans with your stupid ¨)
3) think "Ubermensch ?"
4) try to contain your laughter
Sorry if I offended any germans but some parts of your 'culture' are quite ridiculous ~D

Hey, anyone with enough minerals to swallow his inhibitions, dress up and dance like that must be superior. ~D

Be sure to visit the Pergamon-museom. That alone is worth the trip. There are many things in Berlin worth the trip though.

Quite good actually. Just don't visit the cheesehead locales. Head straight for the Antillian, Turkish or Indonesian locales. ~;)
