I only saw 1.1 or so on the website (totalwar.com)...what is the most current patch for medieval (i am playing rome and medieval now at the same time...not playing any other games heh...I was about to throw the towell in with rome but RTR is awesome)
also, if anyone could suggest the "best" mod for medieval, it would be appreciated...
thanks ~
1.1 for MTW and 2.01 for those with VI expansion.

2 questions:
How does one check which version one has? (for VI in particular)
Does the last VI patch address the 56-year old King dying issue? (i bet not)
Thanks!
Upper left corner in main menu should tell you what version you use.
Im pretty sure 2.01 fixed the 56 year bug. I remember we checked it out during the beta testing of the patch.

thanks for the info guys
IMHO the VI expansions is worth the price for the "pre-battle" army configuration screen alone.... (and the Viking era campaign is great fun too :devilish: )
just my 2 florins

I'll be starting a MTW (non VI) campaign soon because for some reason i can't get VI to work properly...don't worry about advice, i've tried EVERYTHING and would rather start up a standard campaign anyway. heh...
I'm just not sure who I'll be...

I'm afraid but most mods require VI (another point to why you should install it)...
The most praised mods around here are BKB, XL and Medmod, which adds a bunch of factions and a lot of units to the game.
If you want something quick and simple but refreshing, try the mod in my sig (check the sticky in the main hall) and let me know what you think about it.
