Logfilereader v3.0 MI finished...

BUT i still need the little uniticons, he who delivers me in the same format as the old ones 30*30 pixels (i believe)

although i improved many features i must admit 1 downfall. since in a logfile not teh original honour of a unit is stated i determined the unitcost by checking all soldiers in a unit and using the lowest honour which should be the units original one.
BUT a unit like Kensai consist of a limited amount of soldiers, which is easily able to gin honour during fighting, so in that case the kokuvalue of the fielded army may be wrong.

but again the tool is improved in GUI so.... who wants it?

then get me the pics...

yes, you would have thought something as critical to understanding a battle as original honor would have been included in the log file and then also how much it gained or lost. odd.

also, i made a goof when first using your beta and reported that i couldnt read more than the overall team stats. i've since seen what i was doing wrong and it's fine now. thanks, it's a nice job :)

is it possible to use the total koku spent minus the koku of all other units to determine the koku used on kensai?

the problem is what if he have 2 kansais and 1 ninja unit! problem keep excisting so for now
when somone got kensai ninjas then certain fields are made red..

lord the things were gifs 50 by 50 pixels but bitmaps will be usefull too

Would you prefer them as jpeg's, gif's, or bmp's? Also what size do you want; 30x30 or 50x50?

I've written a logfile reader of my own (mostly for my own amusement and an excercise in c) and I found you can get the icons's in the documentation that comes with the game. Check out 'The way of the daimyo', there are a bunch of pictures you could use there.

Let me know how you'd like them and I'll put together a zip file for download.

did you ever get the little pics for your editor/reader? trousermonkey (lol) was right about the way of the daimyo having the pics within it. it's a acrobat reader file (.adf) so i'm not sure how easy/difficult it is to cull them out of there, but shldnt be that tough.

It wasn't tough removing the icons, I did an Alt+PrintScrn and then pasted the image into photoshop to pick up the icons. I've got a directory on my desktop filled with every icon in a *.psd format if you're interested.

It would be about 10 minutes work to change them to bmp's or gif's of a certain size.

I'd prefer GIFs with transparent backgrounds 50x50.

(I only need the new ones, as I have all the original units... That is, the new Jap units and Mongol units are those I need...)

Well just DL Acrobat Reader 5 and install it http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif

It's a button in the toolbar and it works exactly the same way as the text selector:

click the button, point with the mouse to a place in the document, press the left button and, by moving the mouse, drag a selection "box". When you release the button, the area within the box is captured and copied to the clipboard and can be pasted on a Word document, for example.

BTW if you convert the word document to html, the pic is converted to .jpg and .png in the auxiliary folder.
