This is something of a fudge, because I can't pick a favourite song in any way; but if you made me say one, I'd go with Wish You Were Here.

Dogs - Pink Floyd.

I just listened to 'Animals' twice in a row, though, so this changes depending on whatever ever album i've just listened to.

Most of mine come from two old cassettes, one called Tarleton's Jig, the other Strawhead.
"We be soldiers three", good old seventeenth century drinking song.
"The Battle of Oudernarde"
"The Sacking of Cadiz"
"Napoleon on St. Helena"
"Through Smoke and Fire" song about the capture of Qubec, 1759.
"Noble Argyll"
"Over the Hills and Far Away"
"The Burial of Sir John Moore" sad and poignant.
"Rochester Recruiting Sergeant"
The soundtrack from Ben Hur is wonderful too, as are classics such as "Jerusalem", yet on the whole, I'm a military music man.
